I have a bunch of chaeto, several green star polyp frags and a super red mushroom to trade...

Anybody have any frags they want to get rid of????

Hey Dyna! How's the shore? I have a few types of green stars, but always looking for a new strain to keep things healthy. I like them. what type of coral are you interested in? SPS, shrooms, xenia, leathers, capnella, montipora? I could make a frag or two of any of these for your trade.. I got a couple weeks to get it attached to a small rock.

Hey Kaptken,

I only have a few corals so I'm not picky...whatever you have with some color to it
would be great. Are you interested in the mushroom as well or just the stars? My green
stars are on a rock on the sand and it grows really fast, spreading off the rock over the sand.
I can just peel off large "flaps" of coral every month or so.

Hope you are doing well.

Wow! sounds like the stars really like your tank and lights. If i recall your tank description, you have pretty good lighting. that makes it easier to keep most corals. I will be happy with a small "flap" of the stars and see what i can frag for you in trade.

I will make you a starter kit of few frags and you can see how they do in your water garden. I have a green tree leather frag ready for TBOR, and a green frilly shroom for RBTA now. I'll make another frag of the green tree leather for you , and one for RBTA too which i promised him last meeting. the mother coral has been growing good lately so i can make a couple cuttings to spread around. I will frag a piece of green pocillapora. they are a nice SPS.

and a pulsing xenia too for motion. the brighter the light, the faster they pulse. and perhaps some other things. bits and pieces, for starters. I'll include a bit of red dragons breath macro too. its been growing real good in one tank lately. if it grows in yours too, its easy to control so that it don't over run the tank like some macros do. its bright red and looks nice waving in a current and eats the nitrates too. which is a bonus.

trading and passing around frags is an insurance policy that should we loose some or have a crash, well, we can get starter frags back from those we have traded with. it keeps the genetic strain going.

And that's a good thing.

see you there!

i have nothing to offer in trade ... tank is fairly new ... i'd love to get some of that red dragons breath kaptken ...

Ok ronert, I'll bring a snip of it for you too at the next meeting. macros are funny. ihadnt seen this type in the tank for over a year. then bingo, the conditions got just right for it and it sprouted from the rocks. so it comes and goes , depending.
