Looking to buy 55 gal drums in the tampa clearwater area. I've heard that there is somewhere that you can buy them used for cheap. Thanks

I'm no expert and I hope others will chime in here. Be cautious of used water containers due to possible contaminents. You may want to consider some of the large commercial trash cans. I think the maker is Brute, but not sure... I remember reading somewhere that one of the commercial trash cans is food grade plastics.

I have probably 50 plastic lined steel 55 gallon drums sitting on my dock right now in Largo if you want any of them. Free. They originally held either glycerine or propylene glycol.

rubbermaid makes the brute trash cans. and I know reefrubble on rc has one or 2 and may know where you can get more .

I read a post not too long ago about someone who had drums (food grade) that were used to import olives or something like that for like $5

Vigo near Anderson & Hillsborough (it's actually 1 road north of Hills, off of Anderson) in Tampa has those drums. It's been a couple years since I've bought any, but they were like $5 a piece - they may be filthy, so be prepared :)

When i was a kid my father got drums from a local food manufacturer (hot sauce or something) for cheap to make a floating dock - I bet if you called a couple local businesses like that they'd hook you up.
