Dolly Parton and Gaylord are opening up an amusement park just down the road from the mall. It will be on Briley Parkway.

It will be a water and snow themed park. Artificial snow in the winter months and the water park in the summer.

They could of open end of last summer. But they got to wait for the mall to be finish. And it still looks like end of April or June. I know they was trying to get the mall to open there end. But they been looking for management since nov.
But it's getting closer.

Not looking forward to this. I live right behind where it going to go. And traffic is bad enough with the mall and hotel around the holidays and major events. I just hope they widen the roads. Or my house going up forsale.

Awesome. I wondered how long it'd take. We were there like 8-9 months after the flood and wondered why nothing but Bass Pro was the only thing open.

Insurance claims and whether or not the levies were high enough/ whether or not it was in a flood plain were big holdups to getting anything besides Bass Pro open from what I understand.
Looking forward to the water park, hope they will keep the gangs out unlike Wave Country up the street:lol:
