loose mushroom in a cup with rubble trick

as the title say I put a loose mushroom in a cup trick but instead of It attaching to a rubble, it attached to the cup... soooo how do I take the mushroom off? do it like a anemone?

You can just scrape it off... Try to get as much of the foot as you can... But whatever is left will most likely grow another shroom...

When you fill the cup with substrate, it is better if you either have a good amount of substrate in the cup or put some sand in and then rubble on top. What I do is just make sure there is enough substrate to cover the whole bottom of the cup. Another thing, you could take a piece of rock, place the mushroom on the rock, take bridal veil and place it around the whole thing and tie with a plastic zip tie so that the mushroom cant wiggle around and put it in a low flow area of the tank.

+1 to bridal veil or I use the webbed veil that carry a bundle of oranges in a supermarket.

Sometimes they try to squeeze themselves around or through the veil if it's too tight.

Depending on the size of the mushroom, you could do what I did to one tonight and use a wooden skewer. I used the flat end to irritate and push the mushroom until it released from the rock. The flat edge created a small 90% angle that was well suited to scraping it off the rock. The sharp edge will probably just tear through so I wouldn't use that edge.

any idea on what to use scrapping it off?

Your fingernail would probably be the best thing you could use since it's curved like the surface of the cup. Just put your finger to the side of the cup and push against the base of the mushroom with your fingernail.

I always use a flat butter knife. Once you get a little under the foot, its easy. After your scrape it off, make sure to blow it off to get the slime away- a much better chance of doing well without that slime on it.

Glass scraper... I just use it like a knife and cut cleanly through the shroom. Scraping can cause more flesh to be damaged and increasing recovery time, and possibly could lead to infection of the shroom. Razor blades, scissors, anything sharp is preferable.
