loose mushrooms

One of the other members of our Mid Tennessee reef club has offered to cut off about a dozen mushrooms of various colors for me. I'm putting them into a 3 gallon nano tank and was wondering if anyone thought it be a problem if I let them just float around until they attach where they want to or should I purposely attach each one to a small bit of rubble and place those where I want them?

I figured I'll have enough mushrooms (already have 4 others) in this tiny tank that I don't so much care where they attach, just as long as they like where they are.

let them attach to ruble..

try to get them attached to a piece of rubble if you can, sometimes because of the flow in our tanks, mushrooms could end up in places you don't want them (like under a rock) and you also don't want them getting sucked into a power head

I had a couple lose frags and several ended up getting stuck under one of my rocks and attached there, I managed to salvage a few, and once they attached to a piece of rubble, I glued the rubble up on a rock so they could get some light.
