Lost a clown

had two juvenile clowns that came down with ich. They had been together for about 2 months. Just lost what I'm pretty sure was going to be the female from watching the bickering and agressiveness. The remaining clown is now doing very well but still in medicated QT. He will need to remain there for another 3 weeks. MY question is should I go ahead and get another clown and introduce to them to each other while in QT or wait?

i don't have a lot of posts on this board so you don't have to put too much weight on my opinion, but I think that you should wait to be safe. Don't want to risk anything before your other fishy gets better. There's no point in rushing it. I'm sorry about your loss ):

sorry to hear that and you should wait and see how the little guy is doing before introducing a new one in

other clown is doing very well. I just wonder how he will do with another clown if he is alone for 6 weeks. He will be through with medication and ready to go back to DT in 3 weeks. If wait and get another clown, it will then be in QT for 3 weeks. That will be 6 weeks apart from another clown. Afraid he will not accept another after being a loner for more than a month.

IMO wait a little more. It be better being that a lonely male clown can turn female if it has not done so already.
