lost my clownfish

Hello all,
Unfortunately, I lost one of my clownfish this morning to a power head, (you can see my thread in lighting filtration and equipment). My question is should I get another right away for my oscellarris/percula? Or should I wait and get one in a few weeks. What would be easiest for having a non agression meeting? I have only had this one for a week.

Sorry you lost your clown.

It will be interesting to see what others say, but with the fish being so new it might be a good opportunity to introduce another one. I would worry that the longer this one's in on its own the more territorial it will become making introduction harder.
Those are just my thoughts, I could be wrong

Do you have the powerhead issue taken care of? What happened? I'm having a hard time picturing a powerhead taking out a healthy clown.

The powerhead had a intake w/ a half inch diamater. I think that sometime during the night my clownfish was asleep and got sucked up? Anyhow for now I have a water bottle with slits in it, until I can get to the store and buy a sponge to go over it.

My other clownfish has been acting strange all day, hanging out at the top and not eating. Is it just lonely?

I'm tempted to take the cover off my powerhead and put my hand under it to see what the flow's like

I'm sorry, I don't know what to tell you about how the other clown is acting. I would keep an eye on it though, my clowns are piggies, but that doesn't mean yours is. If they are sick, it's possible that yours died during the night and then got sucked up. Hope you get some better answers

I did check the flow, pretty strong though I turned it all the way down.

when I come up to the side of the tank, he tanks some intrust, I am hoping it will pick up tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about you fish.

I have to agree with raoul. It had already died or was very weak. You might want to do some water testing if you haven't already.
