Lots of Photos Added to Web Site

With my new powers as Secretario Extraordinario, I added some photos to our lil' website (this was long overdue). Check out the fancy new 'galleries' of the 2010 Frag Swap the July Trip to Ripley's! It turns out this is super fast and easy to do, so if any one has photos of anything club-related (pics from meetings, etc.) email them to me or bring them on a flash drive or SD card to meetings; I'll try to have my netbook for this purpose. Thanks to James for the pics of the trip to Ripley's.

Also, I think we should add a gallery of our tanks to the site - in fact, it's already on the site, it's just empty! I can't think of anything that would inspire potential members to join more than to see how bangin' our tanks are! If you've got a photo of your tank, send it my way and I'll be sure it finds the light of day.

Nice. I was thinking of adding my DIY threads with more details there -- perhaps of not only the LED but the auto top-off and the stand, too.

I modified the site format to add "Recent Posts" and "Recent Comments" to the left side bar. Let me know if you like it there. If any complaints (particularly by the board), I will remove it...

Can you use those powers to see why I can't access the private forum? I used to be able to, but I don't know what happened. I sent Eddie a couple messages, but haven't heard back. Perhaps he's been busy lately or hasn't checked his messages.

Are you accessing the etrc forum via your favorites list? I had that problem, but solved it by deleting it from there then re-adding.

That would be swell for an article or articles. Perhaps use the same and a few other pics for a tank profile too.

Looks good - actually, we had a potential sponsor's comment up there for awhile but no one noticed it; the "recent comments" feature will make that sort of thing easier to spot.

Also, note that i put a lot of the posts in the correct 'category' i.e. meeting posts/minutes under the "meetings" category, etc.

Lastly, do we have a banner ad from the new "sponsor's name which we shall not speak" - "he who shall not be named"? That needs put up if it hasn't been already. Eddie?

Perhaps if I knew how. Eddie has taken care of this stuff so far and you can probably get it resolved more quickly through him until I get the permissions on R2R and figure out how.

Eddie has provided some info on the unspeakable to the webmaster, but there is a problem in that the ETRC web-blog format prefers a link to the aformentioned personage's and/or enterprise's unmentionable banner -- not the overlarge image that was emailed. We are awaiting the president to resolve this situation in a shadowy, smoke-filled alley somewhere before it is posted. It seems to be a step or two harder to post our own image rather just get the image link.
