Lots of red Alage

I just started my tank about a month ago. Not sure in what stage of the cycle I'm in but it seems there is a lot of red alage growing in my tank. It began with small silver bubbles at the bottom and now it has grown into a redish brownish alage. Is this common? I have a 20 gal long tank. It seems as if it's spreding . It's at one spot right now probably the size of a dollar in my tank in one spot but it seems like the silver bubbles are spreding to other parts. Will this leave or is there something I can do to get rid of it?

That's very common in new tanks. It often goes away on its own. You can speed the process by siphoning it out, if it's a red mat without much structure. That's likely cyanobacteria, to be technical.

As Bertoni stated, you can siphon it off the rocks with a turkey baster if you want to see it go away faster. :)
