I've been using an MP40 second gen for a couple years now with the classic controller. It works fine and still has plenty of flow ect. I've had a problem since I got it though and I'm at the point where I'm tired of it. The noise
I can handle the whirling sound it naturally makes ramping up and down. Even at 100%. Problem is. 3-4 times a day the dry side will start to just slip away from perfect alignment with the wet side and it starts to make a loud skipping/grinding noise. Best analogy I can think of is when you are using a cake batter mixer and run it along the side of the bowl. I will simply nudge it back to where it's lined up and it stops. But some hours later it'll slip again. Even if I have the cord tightly secured to where it has no downward movement, then it'll just drift laterally.
Am I missing some piece here? Does anyone else have an issue with that? I got it second hand so I don't know if there's maybe something that makes it stick to the glass or what. It's to the point I'm considering selling it
