Loud nw150 air "silencer"?

Just picked up an octopus nw150 and the air intake silencer is a lot louder than ones I have made myself in the past. I know there is a break-in period, but I thoight that only affected the performance, not something like this. Would this be affected as well? Otherwise I'm just going to make my own.

Make your own. The air silencers don't have a break in period so I doubt it's going to get any quieter.

Damn, this one looks nice and pretty. I was hoping I wouldn't have to strap some ugly diy on there lol.

Maybe its hooked up wrong or needs to be tweaked a little. Can you post a closeup pic of the silencer?

It only hooks up one way and from the five minutes I took to put it together before leaving for work it doesn't look like there any adjustments to it. I'll look when I get home though.
