loud pump

I just hooked up a closed loop system in my new tank. This was my first time with all the plumbing and everything. It turned out great, with no leaks, and flows like a champ, however the pump that I used (Iwaki....don't know what size) is pretty loud. I was wondering if anyone knows ways to quite it down a little. I already placed foam under the pump and that did help. I was thinking of some sort of padding or something on the inner walls of the stand to help absorb noise. Like some sort of "egg crate" foam or something of that nature. Any feedback on that Idea? Or helpful tips? Thank's in advance for the advice.

I havent tried it yet, but i have the same problem with my reeflow pump my stand is acting like a speaker box amplifying the hum of the motor. Though this solution was pretty pricey and since i havent installed it yet im not sure how well its gonna work. I went down to a car audio shop and picked up some dynamat. Its the dense rubber padding used to insulate cars with sound systems to stop the vibration. So im hoping this will pad that sound. The stuff wasnt cheap but if it works it will have been worth it.

I've used this sound-absorbing foam to absorb sound from pumps, compressors, etc. It works very well and it's adhesive-backed.

Sorbothane (mcmaster-carr also has this) is one of the best vibration dampeners you can find. I put it in a zip-loc bag and rest pumps and things on it in my sump.
