Loud Tunze 5017 pump

I just replaced my ato with the Tunze 5017. When the pump comes on, its now the loudest thing in my whole system. Sounds like its pumping gravel, actually more like a squeal, but still loud. I'm wondering if other with it has the same issue.

I've always found the pump to have a squealing sound like a turbo spooling up...some more louder than others.

There is probably a way to put a relay on the pump power leads and use a 120V workhorse pump like Eheim, Mag or Sicce.
