back to the mantis:

Anyone got any ideas on how to find this thing and get it out? When I tried listening to where the noise is coming from I could tell that it's from the inside the tank. Thant's about as close as I can get to finding a location...

I had a mantis in my tank, I found his home by accident. I fed the fish one night and noticed a couple VERY fast appendages sweeping at the food as it floated by the hole it was hiding in. Luckily, it was in a recently purchased zoa colony. I grabbed the dive mask and snatched out the whole rock. I poked and prodded until it came out of the rock, I wanted to keep it, but it died the next day.....

this works, but do it early mornign or late night. and make it food they want. or get a long skewer and put some food on the end and move it near caves and stuff he'll come out for it. but be careful they are finger breakers LOL

Off but keep your eye on it, also they typically wont stary too far from there spot so if he doesn't come out in like an hour move it somewhere else

1st I got freaking rats with fluffy tails cut my water line and flood my house then this thing wants to flood my place with another 135 gallons. I swear this thing is working against me!!!

That's alright my engrish isn't so goodly either.

If you figure out what rock he is in run it under some tap water, he will shoot out of there.

Ramtheory has the eagle eye to spot them. Pay him to watch your tank.

Do you have a clown fish?? They click their jaws. Mine does it whenever someone gets to close to the anemone, that includes people outside the tank!
