Love my new 7095. How do add more moonlights?

7095 rocks! Well worth the wait. Way to go Tunze.
Looks very cool and seems to work well so far. Not nearly as complicated as it looked.

Here's my only *****. It comes with one moonlight, which is about useless in my 180. I love the feature with the photosensor and the moon cycle, but I probably need at least three more to make this work in my 6 foot long tank.

Are there any options here? Can you tap into that same line and add more moonlights, similar to the way you do it with outdoor walkway lights?

This really is a well thought out piece of equipment. Now I want to buy two more 6100's so I can really take advantage of this thing. The sequential program looks very cool.

It really should be perfect for a 180 if you get the angle correct. I mean perfect as a moonlight and not for nightviewing. Unfortunately their is no way to add on to it. We had planned to make a stand alone unit you could add but the sales price would be about $70 and while I felt it was still feasible considering the circuitry for the dimming the sales volume was projected to be under 100 units per year and it was scrapped. I have seen bigger tanks than a 180 though lit to what I felt was a realistic simulation of moonlight and the way to do it is to mount it on the tanks side and get an angle where the light hits just before the tanks middle and it will dimly light virtually the entire aquarium. Our test tank was about 7 by 3 by 3 and it was at it's limit on this tank but still reasonably effective as a realistic moon simulation. I consider most competitive moonlights to be "nightlights" not moonlights.

Can you clarify where you'd mount it?

Which side (front/back panels or left/right panels)?

How high does it need to be to get this angle?

Also, the mounting bracket looks to only be useful on a regular tank. I've got an acrylic with horizontal frame around the top of the tank, so there's no vertical pane to attach it to using that bracket. What do you recommend?

Let me think a while on the mounting method. Just mounted on the rim of the tank is high enough but instead of aiming down it is almost straight across with a very slight downward direction. The left or right side is the best.
