The best way to solve your magnesium problems is to change your water with a salt that has the desired magnesium levels. Over time your magnesium goes down due to more than just plant and coral absorbtion. Kalkwasser can deplete magnesium and especially strontium levels if no water changes are performed.

You do not want to be rasing or lowering your calcium levels by adding different salts that have higher than normal calcium. This will cause more problems that you will have to fix.
