low-e glass

Anyone know anything about low-e glass i.e. how well it works with HQI bulbs? Thanks

Moonpod compared the Low-E to the regular glass. If I remember right the par went up 15%.

My PFO mini pendant (HQI) comes with Low-E glass sheild.

Umm most Low-E glass IS regular glass. It has a metal oxide coating on it to reflect heat (UV) away from one side of the glass.

Well i've read conflicting sources, some say it relects IR, others say UV, so I'm kinda confused. Plus, they say it reflects heat, so I'll have to install some type of fans.

I use a low e, uv blocking glass on my PFO mini. Its prolly been a year now. I got it at a local picture framing shop. I think it was around 16 bucks per. Here is a pic of the difference between the low e and the original shield. Low e is on the left.

The glass I got with my ROIII says Low-E on it, but it looks more like the glass on the right. Werd.

My ROIII+ pendants also have low-e glass in them. It's the same glass that came with the pendants.
