Hey,
I was thinking of ordering a frag pack from Dr Mac's, 12 unmounted frags for $99 plus shipping. (www.yourreef.com has a similar deal).
Before ordering online, I thought I would ask here if anyone could put together an equivalent pack. I would prefer to work with fellow reefers but I do not want to spend to much. I have been keeping fish for over 30 years but corals are relatively new to me (3 years soft/LPS) so I do not want to buy something expensive and have it bleach out within a week. I am pretty open to corals that would be OK for a less experienced reefer. That is, NOT expensive, rare, hard to find, LE and all that other stuff.
I have the following that are doing well in my tank:
Purple monti cap (growing but not coloring up)
Orange monti cap
Orange dig
Pink birdsnest
two different green encrusting coral (not sure what type)
I am open to different types of SPS and would also consider a few LPS.
I do not want garbage. I would like nice, reasonable size frags similar to what I would get if ordering from Dr Mac.
I do not think I can make it to the meet but I would drive a little if somebody has a nice collection of frags for me in that 10frags/$100 price range. My schedule is strange but I can squeeze something in if the deal looks good.
I am in upstate New York so Williamsport/State College/Scranton areas would most likely be the farthest.
