Low PH after adding CA reactor

running both kalk reactor and calc reactor can lead to extremely high alk.

This caused STN on some of my corals.... I turned off my kalk reactor, and am trying to tune the calc reactor so my alk doesnt go above 8...

Ah, this is good to know! I'm gonna try and dial the reactor in a little more, I think.

I agree, I initially had some high alk issues....but after a little tuning of the ca reactor, I think I hit the sweet spot and my ca and alk are rock solid, 420 and 8.5 respectively.

of course..
My colors are sooo much brighter since I dropped the alk to 8...

What a relief!!! You don't know the frustration that I had with that... and the small EXPENSIVE frags I lost bc of that problem...

I lost an original Steve Tyree PM... Ugh
