Low pH and other

I let things go a little the past few weeks. I have an ammonia badge I keep an eye on and then look at the overall look of the tank. It's been at least a month since I did a water change or tested the water.

Finally got to it today and things are going surprisingly well.

I don't have any odd growths in either of the tanks, but did have some q-tip algae for a couple weeks.

Anyway, here are the results from today's testing:

29g fowler
pH 8.1
Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 60
Phosphates 0.25
Everything tests the same as it normally does, so that tank seems strong. Just needs a water change to bring the nitrates down, which are usually 40 unless I do a 50% change. I use API and am convinced it just tests high.

10g fowler
pH 7.6, normally 8.2
Ammonia 0.15, it's a newer tank so not as strong
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 90, really high obviously but no algae growth
Phosphates 0
This tank has some macro algae and is about 2 months old.

Not much response from the group since there was no questions asked. . .
I guess you provided me with a report on what happens when the tank is not maintained for a month. I suppose there is no hard rule on 'CRASH' schedule but IMHO you lucked out.
Carry on.

Think it's obvious the tank never finished cycling...at this point I would test the water daily to monitor all the water paremeters so you can better determain when the cycle is coming to an end

Sorry the question was about the low pH and what I should do to raise it to the level it should be?

And maybe what might be causing the low pH?

And then whether the phosphates are something to worry about?
