Hi Randy,
Is it still be good if the reef tank PH is 7.9 - 8.0(due lack of an air in the house) ? I had been try to many way to bring the PH up like ptu an air stone in the sum, try to conect the air intake skimmer from out side, it's help alitle bit but I cann't bring its to 8.3. So I gave up with the PH.
Dose 4 cups Randy's recipe#1 every week
Kalk for top off water
Cal 430ppm - 450ppm
Alk 8.6dkh - 10dkh
nitare 0
PH 7.9 - 8.0

I have same problem.I found dosing kalk with an auto top off unit worked. My ph was always 7.98.I am now at 8.2 to 8.3.The only time I go down to 8 is when my kalk water (5 gal pale) runs out so I just add more water and kalk.I use a dosing pump for Randys 2 part formula and I find that work fantastic.Makes reefing less of a task.Since I got the dosing units its made it easier to maintain stable levels.

I'd try to raise the pH if you can, but if not, just keep alkalinity on the high side.

You might check to see if the limewater coming out of the reactor is saturated. many reactors do not do a good job of dissolving the lime. Dosing saturated limewater from a reservoir can be better in that respect.
