LPS enchino vs. chalice

I have a pink encino and a blue chalice and they have pretty much the same structure/shape.

Re: LPS enchino vs. chalice

One is a place in California and the other is an LPS. :D

The definition of Chalice
Main Entry: chal·ice
Function: noun
Pronunciation: 'cha-l&s
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French, from Latin calic-, calix; akin to Greek kalyx calyx
1 : a drinking cup : GOBLET ; especially : the eucharistic cup
2 : the cup-shaped interior of a flower

It's a describing word that refers to a cup shaped coral.
Kind of like when someone says the word "Stag". We all know someone is talking about an Acropora.

People use the word Chalice to refer to Echinopora, Echinophyllia, Mycedium, Oxypora, and a few other flat/cup shaped lps.
