LPS w/ Compact Fluorescents

Can you grow LPS w/ this type of lighting, or do you need at least T5's

More Specifically Aussie Grape Coral (Euphyllia cristata)

I kept plenty lps with cf fixtures. No problem at all. You can even keep some sps high up. Monti digi and caps to name a couple.

+1 with Drae, I have several sun corals,leathers,red and purple plating montiporas,shrooms,polyps etc

Nice tank. what kind of filtration are you using?

No sump. Remora HOB skimmer with a Marineland HOT cannister running carbon. Nitrates normally 1-2 ppm.

Bulbs are changed out every 6 months, but just wanted to post showing that LPS are not only possible, but quite happy with CF. The Turbinaria on the right side grows like a weed and *constantly* needs fragging to keep it manageable. It keeps its nice purple and yellow colors under the lighting.
