LR coraline gone orange!

I just wanted to point out that not everyone has the same experiences in this hobby. Everyone does something a little different in their "ecosystem". Different things work for different people. I use oceanic--change 10% monthly and use no additional ca+-- and I have never seen a problem. Did you ever test the batch of salt that you added to your tank--just wondering if it was the batch or something wrong with the salt in general.

It was tested only sparingly for normal levels. The only thing that stood out was the high Ca level out of one water sample.

The other part I didn't add was I did add some amt directly to the sump (less than 1/4 cup) and also in the original pre-mix bucket there was a scummy brown film that developed immediately. Even after the cleaning the bucket several times the same film continued to reappear.

I'm not going to go through with another debate about this. These experiences were corroberated enough for me to know it wasn't an isolated incident.

The loss bothered me, the treatment by Oceanic really ticked me off. That part is not debatable.
