LR help

Hey all

I've got 200lbs of LR in my 210. I have a few pieces of "dead" rock in my garage. The pieces used to be live, but were covered in algae so I took them out and let it die. The rock is white now.

Can I put this "dead" rock into my display for decoration? Would it support coraline algae growth? Any negative effects I should expect?

Whatever is dead in LR may cause an ammonia spike. I would put it in a container with saltwater and a few powerheads and cure it a bit before putting it in your DT.

I've did the same thing. I would also recommend putting it into a tub of salt water for a little while and then putting it into your tank. It will eventually become lr again and populate with coralline.
