LR leaching PO4

Hi all

My LR is leaching PO4 and have been using a combination of GFo and lanthanum chloride. I dose 40 drops a night.

Next morning I get a reading of 10 pbb and then in the evening test I get 34ppb.

Since its leaching, should I be splitting the lanthanum chloride dosing into two? Let's say 20 drops at night and then 20 drops mid-day?

Or should I just continue to be patient and do what I've been doing?

And no I'm not using a filter sock but rather replying on my skimmer. I haven't had a problem with any fish nor coral.

Any input is appreciated. Happy reefing

I would be using a continuous dose or at least multiple doses per day as I would not be wanting the PO4 to be yo-yoing up and down like that.

I'm thinking if I dose twice a day, it pull be more effective in getting the leached po4 out of the rocks. Thanks Myka for the input

I dilute lanthum chloride and dose it with an iv. This could keep you dosing it cheaply. I would also drip into a sock or directly into your skimmer intake.

I'm buying Phosphate RX at the moment. Is there a cheaper alternative? Spitting the dosing to evening and morning should speed up the removal of the leaching po4 right?
