I bought another batch of live rock. It came from an established tank. I love the color on it I only have one concern. A couple pieces have this dark red almost marroon algae on it. Is this good. It isn't cyano, it isn't slimey. It is hard but I can scrap it off. It is sort of a hard powder, kind of like powder coating paint before it is baked, if you understand automotive paint.
If I had to I could take it out of my tank and scrap the few pieces. I don't won't it to kill off the good algae I have on the other rocks, other than that it is pretty if it won't bother anything
