Lt tang information

Are you referring to the lieutenant tang by chance? If so they need a 180 gallon tank, they get to be 10" and need room to turn around and swim. They are on the more aggressive side, but not as aggressive as purples, PBTs, sohals, or clown tangs. They aren't as peaceful as convict, hepatus, mimic, kole, or tomini tangs. I think they are more around the yellow tang aggressiveness wise, probably a little less. My lfs told me that they have that name for a reason though.

Yes I was looking at them and on other web site say 90 and 8 inch would he be okay in my tank as the only tang or will a yellow be better I would love to get this tang though

You may want to do a search. I remember reading a thread several months ago about an appropriate tank size for a lieutenant tang.

I know I am sort of paranoid about what happened last time when I talked to my lfs and they sold me a clown tang a sailfin and a blue to put in my 70 and now that I have the 90 I want to do things right

I have a lt tang, and can categorically say a 90 is too small, they will outgrow it within a year given good conditions. Mines in a 180 and should be ok, but once it gets over 8" i think it'll be too small. My reasons for say this are; its active, its aggressive to other fish when introduced/all other fish get out of its way all the time, so they need space to do this, and its fast. My lt swims twice as fast as my hippo.
