LTA and sand bed depth

I am researching anemones and I am thinking of adding an LTA to my tank. However my sand bed is only about 3" deep at max would this be an issue?

I had my old LTA on a bb tank.

Interesting everything I read say it needs sand. Did you use the PVC pipe trick or just left in on the bb

Well i just put it in the tank ( on a rock) because it was sold to me as a bubble tip and about a year later I realized it was a LTA. I believed it was attached to the glass but I honesty can't say because the foot was hidden.

So I guess I should be alright with a 3" or less sand bed

I would say yes. And when you place it in the tank out it where the sand and a rock meets.

Yea, 3" sandbed is fine. As others said, put nem where rock meets sandbed.
