I was at local pet store today as saw a bright green juv. LTA, every adult LTA I have seen is a bland tan color. Is this a common charastic for the juv. to be green and then tan out with age?

I hate to say this though Petco(no bashing me), I have a friend that works there and can get is for 20.00. They just got it in and looks very healty no bleaching super red foot.

there's nothing wrong with petco :p , i bought an LTA from them a few years ago, mine was bleached at the time i got it but i liked it so i bought it anyways, long story short... i kept my anemone healthy for 2 years an a half, the only reason why it died was because we moved into our house and i had some problems with my water :( , so if i was you i'd go for it.

So do you think it will stay bright green?

with lta as it grows it wll get browner but that is good the green will always be there and glow under actinics well.

some more advice dont get it if you dont have at least a 2x2 foot space in you tank for it to live they get huge.

Well then I think ill buy it and give it a try. I guess if I want a colorful anemone I should get a RTBA or a carpet. Any suggestions on either of those, I know RTBA dont get as big as a carpet.

I know RTBA dont get as big as a carpet.

You wish. Some non-splitting RBTAs get huge. Bigger than haddoni or gigantea.

Well I finally decided to buy that bright green LTA, I will post some pics asap. Everything went well, it was fully open this morning.
