I got this LTA yesterday was doing great. I drip acclimated him over the course of about two hours before adding to my tank. But when i woke up this morning he was sad looking, the tentacles where shrunk and gunk was coming out of its stomach. There was also a milky fluid coming off of him and has completely made my tank milky looking, even.after about a 8 gallon water change on my 40 gal. I'll try and load a pic but would you say he is a goner?

here is a pic from yesterday with it fully open and looking great. then a pic from a few minutes ago...

Could just be acclimating to the new environment. Deflating is normal when first put into a tank. White milky discharge could be spawning behavior. Give it time and keep an eye on it. Check the stickies at the top for antibiotic treatments. If it keeps expelling black/dark discharge you might need to get it into a treatment (hospital) tank.

What are your current water parameters --- with numbers please.

That second picture does not look good at all.
