lta is under rocks

Just put an lta in my 75 gal yesterday. No other nems. It has posted up under some rocks. It seems happy. Fully open. Why would it go where it can't get much light. I have 80 w of t-5 and 150 w mh. Should I just not worry and let it do it's thing

I bought one a few months ago that was not happy anywhere in the front. It moved to the back of the rock work and is open and happy. Unfortunately, I can barely see it.

I have bought several things I never get to see. What should I watch for that indicates poor health
