LTA Placement

lol, thats kinda what the GSM's were doing this morning. Jumping on it, laying on it and swimming all over it. When the LTA is open, its about 6 inches, and the female clown is about 4 inches, with the male roughly 3 inches. THEY get along great, but im concerned about the NEM now. How detrimental is it for the NEM to have a tentacle ripped off? I wonder if the GSM's are doing it just because it is new and it will subside.

Well all;
I had to think of the nem first. I came home, and the clowns were actually biting its tentacles and spitting them out on the ground. I didnt want the nem to die, so I traded it in. I got a carpet anem which is about 2x the size of the large clown, so hopefully it fares well.

that's good, i would have done the same thing. that was one of the choices for my saddlebacks but i have some really clumsy fish that come in and out of the rocks and didnt want them to end up as a meal

on the positive side, I test my water with the dip strips, and I brought a sample into the LFS and had them test for my own peace of mind - and they were thoroughly impressed with my H2O! :)

You did the right thing with the LTA by taking it back. I wasn't your fault it was moving around so much. I'm sure it was stress.

The things are jerked out of the ocean, sit on a dock in a little bag for who knows how long, are flown half-way around the world switching planes several times, put in a holding tank awhile only to be snatched out to travel to your lfs, and all the time getting no food, no sun for it's zooxan', and sitting in stagnant water the whole time.

Poor things. :(
