LTA sick

I have an LTA that has been happy for the first month and a half I've owned it. Recently, it has been looking unhappy, changing positions alot, not eating the mysis shrimp as before. The only changes I've made to the aquarium were 1) lights. I just recently purchased 260 watts for my 55 gal tank. That sent him hiding in the crevices. 2) My orange frilly sponge has started to turn white 3) My PH dropped to 7.8 so I added Proper PH 8.2 to the tank and the KH went sky high.

All the fish seem to be doing fine. Ammonia is 0, nitrates 0, nitrites .15.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I suspect the drop in the ph and the spike in the alkalinity is what has affected it. It might take a while with perfect conditions for it to return to it's normal self.
