LTA Upside Down

I just brought home a nice size LTA.

Upon putting it in the tank, I turned down the powerheads real low, and let him find his spot.

Unfortunately, he is now on the sandbed, completely upside down. His foot is half sticking to the front glass.

I'm not sure if I should move him, or just let him be and find his own place eventually.

Any ideas?

What are you parameters. Does it look healthy? How did you acclimate?

I'm not sure but I thought LTA like to bury their foot in the sand.

I have had one for years. It has done some strange things at time. I acclimated him for about an hour. Just floated its bag and slowly changed the water from the bag to the tank. All my parameters are good. I feed him occasionally. Frozen food. Thawed and rinsed. He is quite large now. If their foot gets damaged it is bye bye. Some times it takes awhile for them to settle in their new home. If their mouth is open that is bad. It should be closed. If the foot looks ok, the mouth is closed, should be ok. Pictures help. Might be just rolling around until it finds a good spot.

Without a host clown fish they have a tendency of possible snacking on other fish.

And yes, once settled they are generally in the sand, up against some rock. Mine has his foot under the rock. Buried in the sand. He sometimes retreats under the rock. But usually is spread out on the sand hoping for an unwary fish. So far he has not had any luck.

He looks actually rather healthy, tentacles out, foot looking good, can't see the mouth.

Only problem is he's upside down lol. I'll give it some time.

When you say "on sand bed upside down" do you mean literally or is the foot attached and it is just looking down?

I find that they prefer putting their foot between/under rock crevices as opposed to straight in the sand. If you put it near some rock work above a sandy bottom and some light it should find a comfy spot. If it does settle in you have to watch it once you turn the flow back on and the lighting and adjust as necessary.

So the nem settled down and hunkered itself in a corner of the tank, and fully extended and looked absolutely wonderful.

Now, two or three days later, it looks awful.

It's back upside down, and completely closed up. Is this normal nem behavior? Should I just give it time?

The only thing that changed was I added two more T5 bulbs.

when i acclimated my anemone, it would swell up the foot when it's trying to move around.

what is your tank parameter? the water looks kinda dirty

Water is not dirty at all, it's just the way the picture makes it look.

All parameters are in check.
