Anyone know what this is? He hasn't planted his foot yet, just got him maybe a few days ago. He is eating and he is hosted by one of our clowns. He looks healthy!
It's a bit bleached it needs at least a 4-5 inch sand bed it should berry it's foot in the sand and attach to the bottom of the glass and the webbing type stuff it's just some slime/ mucus coat that the anemone sheds it's completely normal but you should get that anemones foot in the sand and then once it's settled start feedin it 2-3 times a week to bring it back to full health if you can't get a deep enough sand bed use a jar or container you can fill with sand and let the anemone attach into that.
I did the same as Nemguy has said. I have a BB tank and my LTA was constantly moving for deep sand. I eventually got a large tupperware dish and filled with fine sugar sand. It took the LTA a while before it finally took to the sand. In the beginning it would just lay on its side, using small pieces of live rock I built a small wall around the nem to encourage him to dig its foot into the sand
Thank you guys! We are getting out LED lights today in the mail. He moved a little yesterday but moved back into the rock. His mouth has been closed tight but now it's open a little bit
