Looking to downsize and move my stuff to a smaller tank.

I have a lot of long tentacle anemones. They are a greenish tan color. Some have bubble tips, some don't. It started as one anemone and has split many many times over the years. You'll have to buy the rock it sits on along with it.

Some rocks have other coral on them so I'd like to just sell the rock with the anemone and all coral attached for one price. This is all hardy stuff that I've had for years. The rock in most cases has a lot of coralline and filled with all sorts of critters. All of this stuff has been in my tank for years.

Now, not every piece of coral you see in the pic will come with the rock...just the stuff that is attached to it. If it's just sitting on top I'll move it to another rock.

Honestly I have no idea how much this stuff is worth so just pm me what you feel is a fair offer. :)

The rock pictured below has a bunch of shrooms, roughly 8 or 9 big ones, and 2 or 3 anemones on it. this is the rock my clowns always lay their eggs. In fact there are eggs on it right now behind the anemone.

The next pic is a big rock that has 2 big anemones and possibly 1 smaller one (hard to tell) It also has a couple of diff sps and is well covered in corralline. The rock is about the length of my forearm and is also about the same width in the center but it tapers down on the ends. It has several legs that make a great cave underneath. The top is fairly wide and flat with plenty of surface area for placing coral.

I am located in Tuscaloosa. There's a lot more stuff in there but I need to move some of the big stuff first before I can start really breaking it down.

Thanks,
Zach

Hey, cool rocks. I'm in Tuscaloosa also. I've been checking out this Alabama forum for a while but I never see people from T'town. Mostly just Montgomery or Huntsville area. It's good to see someone near me.

I might have to come by and take a look at some of your stuff. I have a 55-gallon with various softies, but I'm also setting up a 10-gallon frag tank that I want to fill up with as many different species as I can. I'm getting a 96w light tomorrow for the frag and I'm gonna put all my coral in there for the time being while I rework my 55 and get new lights for it. Then when it's ready, hopefully I'll have a really nice selection of corals to place all over.

I'm not sure if I can keep SPS under the 96w. I've read different things online. I'm thinking maybe I can get away with it if I put them up real high. What's your opinion?

Write me back and let me know and maybe we can get together. I'd love to have another reefing buddy here in town.

Hey Tusc, I'm not sure if 96 will be enough or not? I have 250w halides right now. I have kept sps under T5 lighting but it was, I believe, around a 230w system that was supposedly equal to almost double that with the german reflectors? I can't remember it's been about 4 or 5 years ago. Maybe someone else could chime in. You're welcome to swing by anytime if you want to see the tank.

Yeah, I've read a lot about the arguments of how much light is needed to keep SPS. For my main tank I'm thinking about going with 6x 54w T5s with individual reflectors. I just wanted to try out a little bit in this frag tank and see what it was like. If it didn't do well, I have buddies with T5s or halides that can have it. But for now I'm concentrating on softies.

I'll PM you later and maybe we can get together.
