Hello,
I doubt any of you have a clue who I am as I only went to one meeting a long time ago, however I have been meaning to get involved in this club for a while and just continue to have things pop up that prevent me from doing so.
I have recently built a new setup in my home and have two LTAs that are hosting a mated pair of Pink Skunk clowns. These anemones used to be in my main display before I rebuilt, however now they live in an Aquapod that I use for a remote DSB. Basically its like this...
I love these guys, however I have plans for this tank that don't include them and I have no where else to put them. I am offering them free to anyone who is interested.
These are moderate/high light anemones that are mildly aggressive. They will roam while acclimating and I don't suggest a system that uses powerheads. A protected closed loop or similar setup with an established flow pattern will ensure they find a happy place and sit there. These anemones will not roam once they dig in so long as conditions do not change. They should be kept in a 4 - 6" sandbed and will not attach to rock. Without adequate sand they will not acclimate well.
The pink skunk clowns are available but should not be housed with other species of clownfish. Most any clown should host these and the anemones are available with or without the clowns and visa versa. If you feel like you have an adequate system and are interested in any of these please shoot me a PM. I live off of Battlefield and Luster and welcome anyone to my home to pick them up or can alternately meet you somewhere as well.
Sorry for the long post, I just want to see that they get a good home. They are really impressive anemones.
