Is Marco Rock an CMAS reefer? What type of sand and what was the cost?

Google marco rock, call or email him.. Real nice guy. Prices depend on how much you buy.. I bought 150# or base rock with 150# of sand.

as far as I know the reef sand is no longer being sold at homedepot and other building supply stores because its not "environmentally friendly" It used to be sold as white play sand but now all they sell is the yellowish stuff that looks horrible under water and full of silica, Identical to crap you can shovel yourself at the lake.
Best option you have is to score some sand on here. Its often sold by the bucket and really cheap if not free

southdown was made by old castle, its been quite a few years since they stopped making it.
I've seen old castle occasionally at hardware stores but have not purchased sand in about 10 years so wasn't really paying attention as to where. ya like $4 bucks a bag vs 20-30 its worth looking around if you need a lot of sand.
