Lugol's Solution

If anyone is interested in some Lugol's solution I have some and would be interested in selling it. It is basically what every preventative coral dip is made from. Send me a pm if your interested.

Anyone know if there is a difference between "brewer's idophor" and Lugol's? I have a ton of idophor for brewing beer (sanitizing equipment) and I can probably make a weak iodine solution for coral dip out of this. I know some of our members have in-depth chemistry knowlege and can set me straight on this. I have already been to wikipedia and the potassium iodide is added to render the iodine water soluble. I know the idophor I have is water soluble so it could be very similar to Lugol's.

Hey, I'm the Zen Reefer and I would be happy to test my "redneck coral dip" on a frag or two to see what happens. I'll wager the results will be the same or similar.

C'mon gang, enlighten me on this. Think it'll work??
