Lumen Max 3 spread

I am putting a 150w lumen max 3 over a tank that is only 12inches wide about the same width as the pendant. The length is 36" Can you tell me which way I might get better spread of light if the bulb is perpindicular or parallel with the length of the tank. Since the pendant is about square I can place it either way. Thanks

Do you know of any links for the DE bulbs and SE's? Looking for that same info for a HQI DE

No, but the pendant should give similar or proportionate results to what you saw on those tests.

I already ordered lumenmax elite for my HQI DE, it is just the best pendant for my setup.
