Lumenarc and VHO

Looking for input on how and where to place VHO lights under Lumenarc minis; 2x250w MH covering 5' aquarium.

VHO lights have built-in reflectors so I'd stay them off to the side of the reflectors so you don't get them the way of the MH light.

I'm wondering the same thing. I don't have a canopy and want to run 10k's with vho actinics.

But I too wonder this same question...I would like to upgrade to lumi's some day.....

So the VHO are placed to the front and back of the tank and not directly under the MH. This make sense. But, do you angle them so to get more lights into the tank? Do you suspend them or just place them on top of the tank?

I would suspend them... if you look at the bulb, you can see where the reflector starts and ends. You just want to make sure that it pointing into the tank. You may want to angle the front ones to shine on the reef instead of the sandbed in the front, but it doesn't matter.
