Lumenarc reflectors

For those of you who are deciding to get MH or at least upgrade thier reflectors, try the lumenarcs. Man, I bought a pair of lumenarcs for my 250 de and recieved them yesterday. I installed them last night when the lights went off. Turned them on this morning and the light spread is awesome! It made my 8 month old bulb look brand new. It definitely a worthy upgrade!

I would like some more light to reflect in the tank. I just could not justify with out seeing. I will be over at your house Thursday night for my GF's Mom's dog's haircut. lol Can't wait to see them. Are they huge? The always look so big in the pics.

Well, the 250 DEs are smaller then the regular lumenarcs for SEs. Because DE bulbs are much smaller than thier SE counterpart, the reflectors doesnt have to be as big. The dimensions on mine are 13X11X6.

That is smaller. So I guess they fit in your canopy just fine? The ones I want are 19.5” x 19.5” x 8.5” tall. monsters. They always look good over tanks. They are $100 a pop though x three.

Yah, when you find one, ask if they have veterans discounts too!

hey I am interested, what about the cord that goes from my fixtures to the ballast? will the luminarc come with a cord that will fit the ballast box? are they universal? I also have the 250 w D.E. I may have to pay you a visit to see these in person

Do they replace your old reflectors in your existing fixture, or do you replace the whole existing fixture?

The end is just a bare cable. My ballast has a regular female outlet hooked up and I connected a male plug to the end of the cable of the lumenarc. I just got to remember not to plug anything but the reflector on those outlet. LOL!

It replaced the whole fixture. I use to run PFO minis and as you saw before, it really gave good lighting to my tank but still had some serious shadows at the ends of the tank. With the lumenarcs, I get a much better spread.
