who have this in there tanks i am looking in to this reflectors i want to know if they are good or whats the draw back whats good whats bad thanks

There are the best refloectrs if you have the space for them. I use them on my 3x3ft prop tanks and they cover all four corners with ONE bulb. You can adjust the bulb holder back and forth so that the bulb could be centered directly on the center . Hope this helps, JOHNNY

i am looking to replace my DIY wich the work really good but we allways want more and more can i fit 3 on my 180g and 2
72" VHO

nyvp wich ones are you going to get for you tank , and give me a call i tink i can make the par for your pump

I think the lumenmax. I belive they are if I remember like 3 inches bigger around. They are basicly the same. I like the ac vents on the lumenarcs though they are sweet.

You go DIY king

BTW i'll be at the meeting at 1:30 ish tomorrow till about 3 if you want to meet.

if its not to big I would think someone wouldnt mind you adding to a table or carry it with you ( if not to big or leave in car if it is) and see if you can sell it

Manny, you are letting me down, you are practically little by little changing everything from DIY to commercially available items, first you took out your home automation and replaced it with a brand new octopus, then your state of the art custom cooling fans and replacing it with a chiller, now you want to change the custom made reflector for lumenarcs!!! in theory you are going to spend more money than me in my tank.
You are out of control, what is next the skimmer and the kalkreactor?? :D

I had 2 lumenarc III on a 120 with 4 4'vho no problem... so 3 an d2 on a 180 no problem.... I love these reflectors.... only negative is the price...

hey royer i know i am changing alot of tings but the temp in my house is good but with the MH go out of control to 83 i have to keep the temp in a good temp, for the controler is not change everyting still wireles and remote control the octopus just monitor what the computer can't control for the reflectors i tink those will give me a beter ligth because the ones i have lots of ligth but is not all in the tank plus for the price i am geting the reflector can't bitit plus allmost all the DIY parts in my tank where free lol so is like i am just modifing my tank

I once asked Sanjay about these reflectors and he uses them himself for both his tank at home and also the 500 gallon tank at Penn State, in fact all he uses in the Penn State tank are 4 Lumanarcs with 400 watts each with no other lighting like VHO's. If you have never seen pictures of the Penn State tank it is impressive with only 1600 watts of light on a 500 gallon tank.
