Lumix GF1 Picts, Anyone?

Have anyone seen or have pictures of reefs taken by the new Panasonic GF1?

I would really like to see what it looks like

Thank you

Here are some pictures I took after putting the camera into an underwater housing. I'm pretty pleased by the results provided that they are taken at low ISO. The ISO performance of the camera around 1600 is not that great, and ISO 3200 is not useable IMO. All the pictures taken were with the 20mm kit lens. I hear great things about the 45mm image stabilized Leica macro lens.

Thanks for sharing Dendro. that is some nice pictures you took, and that camera housing looks like a beast. Do you have any video taking by that camera? Yeah, ISO that high on most Panasonic or most cameras seems to get a lot of noises.

please share with us again when you get your new Leica lenses

I love your 4000 Gallons green house reef. that is some water change you have to do.

No problem. I don't do too much with video to tell you the truth. Both my GF-1 and my Canon 5D shoot video, but I almost never use the feature.

As for high ISO, I think the Canon 5D really spoiled me. ISO 3200 is really clean, and I wouldn't hesitate to go even higher if I needed the shot. Luckily, for underwater photography with the GF-1, I have a flash/strobe lighting setup, so I don't have to stray away from ISO 100.

One thing to consider about this camera is that it does not have in-body image stabilization like the Olympus. The Olympus though don't have the LCD that the Panasonics do. I wish there was a hybrid of the two camera systems with the responsiveness of the Panasonic LCD and AF system and the image stabilization of the Olympus bodies. Having said that, if you do buy the Leica 45mm, it has in-lens stabilization and you're good to go.

With a flash strobe setup I can't see how image stabilization would matter, since the strobe will freeze the motion anyway. I would love the Pana/Leica 45mm macro for my GH1. It's going to be a while before the budget is ready though.
