Lunar Simulator/Apex

Hi All,

I have an APEX, which is awesome and this thread has been very helpful getting my online to check parms on the iPhone.

However, I have a question, does the Lunar Simulator LED's work with the Apex? I read something about an X10 connection, so I did not want to waste money.

Yes, the current LunarSim works well with the Apex; is connects the same as other direct-connect devices (to the 'Control' port on the Apex). Programming is the same as any other Apex outlet but remember that to use legacy devices (devices using control vs AquaBus) you will need to go to the 'modules' page and add a LunarSim outlet; default programming will be added for the outlet.

Does the manual show how you setup the lighting cycles or is there something posted online?

The default program is usually all you ever need:

If Moon 000/000 Then On

This will turn the LunarSim on and set intensity of the LED to simulate lunar cycle.
