Luzonichthys waitei

Do you have more info other than the potential jumping risk? Like if they are easy to feed, tankmate selection, how easy to ship etc? The fish looks beautiful and is reasonably priced compare to the other anthias.

Mine came trans shipped - no deaths so they appear to ship OK. They readily took brine and small mysis right off the bat. I kept 8 in a 65 gallon and I can't remember what all was in there but there may very well have been other anthias and I don't recall any tank mate issues.

After the first week I started losing one of them every week or so. I thought they were expiring in tank until I checked behind my stand and found them all dried up. I would only try them again if I had a completely covered tank.

Oh that sucks. Sorry for your lost. Any idea why they jump out? Could the jumping due to aggression among themselves so the weaker one was chased and forced to jump out? I do have a canopy which pretty much covers 99% of the tank (no hole at all). There is a small hole in the overflow area so I guess that's definitely a risk.

If they are such a good jumper for no apparent reason, I think I will pass them.
