Lympho on a Flame Angel

I've had a Flame Angel in a QT for 3 months by himself. He was fighting Brook then he had to deal with flukes. I believe he has won the battle on both fronts but today I noticed something on his tail. It looks like Lympho. Is this possible since he hasn't had contact with any other fish in 3 months? His food is soaked in Selcon and Zoe. He eats mysis, Nutramar Ova, Rod's, Spectrum pellets and Nori.
I was increasing the salinity in his QT to put him back into the main but I don't want this to spread to other fish. Thanks!

Think of Lympho as the equivalent of fish herpes. Once they have it, they have it for life. Symptoms can "flare up" from time to time, and then no symptoms for years.

My dad had a Queen Angel that displayed symptoms of Lympho on & off for 10 years. It would flare up once every 2-3 years, and then subside. It finally died after a severe outbreak that completely covered it's mouth & gills. He tried to cut the crap off, but I think the trauma from that hastened it's death. Similarly, I've had a PBT for years now that will "flare up" with Lympho anytime I move her out of the DT (I move around a lot).

If this were my fish, and you're sure it's just Lympho; I would move it to the DT. Not seeing symptoms anymore doesn't mean the fish no longer has the virus. :)

Hi Humblefish! Mmmm herpes huh? Bad fish;). I'm sure it's not anything more sinister. He's been alone for 3 months and no other fish has anything. I was wondering if the stress of him being in a QT for this long could have triggered it. I was thinking of moving him back into the DT to relieve the stress. He's got a couple more days in there while I increase the salinity.
Thanks!
