lymphocyctis question

I currently have all of my fish in a QT (ich outbreak). My blue green chromis and my hippo have what appears to be lympho. the BG chromis has just a few spots on his dorsal fin, but the hippo has two 1/8" lesions on her side, they look like open sores. Next weekend will mark week 9 for my ich irradication and I planned on putting them back in.

my question: Should I wait until it has all gone or can i put them back in as is. I really do not want to infect my tank again. Should i just start with a new bg chromis and hippo. giving the old ones back to the lfs?

any input would be greatly appreciated.

I would wait until it is all gone and before putting them back into the tank, give them a fresh water dip. If they still have spots on them and you put them back in the tank, then you start all over.

wetwebmedia and RC here have some great advice from the pros on ich. Just do a simple search or either site.

I doubt the lfs would take the fish back. But it won't hurt to ask or ask for a discount next time you come in to buy fish.

9 weeks is a long time to treat your main tank for ich. I would suggest you look at the ich life cycle.

Anyway, just my .02.

Good luck.
