lymphocystis help

Hi all,

i know from some articles that the disease is uncureable..

i have 1 french juvenile suffering heavily from it, it starts from wound caused by biting from Asfur angel, and i manage to catch the fish and place him on my sump..

After few days 4-5 days it begin to cover the wound with some white big spots.. at first i thought it might be bacterial infection/fungus.. then i captured the fish to put it in my Qt.. then i realize it looks more like Lympho..

my questions:
1) according to some articles, it states that it might gone after some times given good water quality, but how good does it need to be?
2) will it be cured by itself?
3) any meds to help its condition?

Condition of my QT:
amm nitrite = 0,
nitrate less than 15 ppm
temp stable @ 26-27 degree C
s.g 1.023
PH 8.1-8.2
UV on 24/7

Fish still eats a lot

Lymph is a bacterial infection, over time it will go away. Your water quality is fine and your nitrates aren't bad for a fowlr. Just feed the fish small portions of food 3x a day and add some selcon and garlic extreme to the food to help boost your french's immune system.

Lymphocystis is a viral infection not bacterial. Can you post some pictures of it. Usually it affects the fins and tail and forms cauliflower tumors. The feeding advice in the above reply is good.

the fish is in good condition, still full of awareness and still eating a lot.. he just look ugly..
i feed him 2-3 times a day with Spectrum pellet anti parasite
and some times i give him nori..

The lympho diagnosis is correct. It is a virus and usually occurs because the fish's immune system has been compromised due to stress. This is not a parasite or bacterial infection. The food and supplement prescription provided by ndas will help boost fish's immune system and aid in fish's recovery. Good luck.

In extreme cases the fish is removed and a scalpel is used to remove the tumors.

First off, sorry for calling lymph a bacterial infection when indeed it is viral.

As far as I know there is no specific time for recovery with lymph. Just be sure to maintain great water quality and feed the french good quality foods supplemented with selcon and garlic. If you do this it will definetly get the french on the road to recovery.

yeah hopefully.. selcon is quite pricey here xD

i feed him only pellets and sumtimes nori.. he eats like a pig..
